Platinum Homes, after nearly twenty years of building kiwi homes, was benefiting from the fresh vision of a new CEO, navigating the company through significant growth. The head office team was growing and attracting experienced team members resulting in a maturing organisation. As part of the revitalised business strategy, Platinum Homes went through a brand refresh, updated its overarching business model and restructured its plan range offering.

The digital ambition was to create a website that worked as a valuable business asset. Becoming customer-centric with simple and intuitive user journeys, delivered through a far more aesthetically pleasing and capable user interface, designed to sell the premium experience on offer.

After crafting a strategy document, the information architecture was rethought and structured around content living in three core areas. This strategy enabled easy access to a large amount of information through a simplified navigation system. It also allowed a diverse group of users with different motivations and questions to cut through a lot of information in a way that felt engaging and simple.

The UI design also took massive leaps forward — another fundamental change was delivering an impressive look and feel that matched the build quality achieved by working with Platinum Homes. This was a critical need to protect brand equity, as the company continues to grow in a very competitive market.
